DAWSON CREEK SUBDIVISION

RAILWAY PROTOTYPE MODELLING IN N SCALE

Timothy J. Horton

HOME ROAD TRAILERS

This page illustrates the various highway trailer models I have built for use on the layout.

Approximately 13% of the railway's trailer traffic went to Dawson Creek, and additional trailer traffic went to Chetwynd, Fort St. John and Fort Nelson. The British Columbia Railway operated a large fleet of flat deck, heater van, refrigerator van and dry van trailers, which were transported north to Chetwynd, Dawson Creek and Fort St. John on trailer flatcars.

The distinctive Can-car van trailers were created from a cast resin and etched metal kit project which I brought to market for PGE/BCR modellers. The flatdeck trailers were created from a resin kit issued by Briggs Models.
